Games are posted week by week rather than promised forever, and the next one is not up yet. There is nothing to turn up to until it is.
New games are announced in the Facebook group first and appear here the moment they are posted. Signing up is what makes a game happen, so when one is up, the useful thing to do is be on it.
You have to sign up
A game only goes ahead if enough people have signed up. A few hours before kickoff the count is taken: if we are short, the game is called off there and then and everybody who signed up gets an email. Nobody drives out to find six people and no ball.
It takes about thirty seconds and you can take yourself off the list with one click if your plans change. Doing that early is genuinely helpful; doing it an hour before is what kills games.
What to bring
Sides are split red against blue at the field, so you need one shirt of each colour. Plain is fine, old is fine; nobody is looking at the badge.
Everything else is up to you, but these three make the difference between an hour of football and a limp home.
Game day
Games get called off for rain or lightning. Cancellations go to the Facebook group, so check there before you drive out.
